AH idea
Well the best thing about Auction House idea is not only convienence and saves time. It's that after every one starts using it and posting items, the economy will level out. I've seen morons trying to sell Fur Squares 500 gold!!!!!!!! for just one <--- can you say moron (goes the same for person who bought it). I've bought them for at most 300 gil when I was in a hurry and seen them go as low as 150 each. I hate looking and waiting for a respectable price. Atleast after an AH type system is established you'll see certain items level out others may rise. Such has the best Firery Swords and what not. So there are multiple bonuses.
** As for going online to buy and sell, can anyone say pain the the arse? I don't have all day to play like some folks because I work full time and I'm married. So the last thing I want to do is take extra time to post items or search for items I want to buy. **

I just wish we could set up our own shops, have a button and window for our own little shops where people could just click and by our shit for what we have it priced at. The merchants are often times cheaper anyway, so this wouldn't ruin the economy, if anything, it'd just reduce the spamming because then it'd be as easy as just walking around shopping for what you want or something. It works pretty well in the games that I've seen it in, if you wanted some fur you'd just look for the store name that said "FUR 150" or something like that, go and buy it. Easy peasy lemon squeezy, only problem with it was there were so many stores it lagged an insane amount...
I don't have a problem with the way it is now, I just turn off the goddam trade channel, I only need it when I need something and/or want to sell, and that isn't often.

right now my inventory is full of great items that i can't sell.
i need to get more runes and stuff, so i have to clear my space. it would be a shame to have to sell all that useful stuff to vendors. but trying to sell them to other players is simply way too time-consuming and aggravating of a process.
they really need an auction house in Guild Wars
or increase the amount of gold that NPCs pay for great items by about 10 billion fold

TBH i keep runes and upgrades incase I make another chr that may use them.
I strip more or less everything down and sell to vendors.
If I have an Item that is useful to a group member I will 9/10 give the items away.
You make enough money in the game anyways, infact once you have the best armour money becomes fairly redundant.

*sigh*. My entire vault is full of runes. I can't stand the <<<<WTB BIG FRICKIN SWORD WITH GODLY COOL STUFFZ ONLY PLZKTHX!!!>>>... messages. I can't sell the runes, or anything else for that matter because I'm so sick of putting a nice, simple to read trade message out and then the screen flies by with messages like the above. Not only do they put up the most annoying message, they'll spam it 3-5 times every 5 seconds. It's just purely impossible to effectively auction or buy anything with a shout system ruled by idjits with bad grammar.
Please, for the sake of my aging eyes, add an Auction House!

I mostly vendor or salvage, stuff I can't use which is really good... I simply give it to guild members.
Look at the junk in my storage for instance:

I can beat that.
Once I had somebody offer me 3616 for two fur squares.
Bought me a new armor for that. Hah!

And then I try to repeat my simple message twice and get a "throttled for flooding".
Right...

I like the material trader a lot - the price seems to fluctuate depending on how much stuff he sold or bought. 1 item went for 160g and 10 minutes later went for 170.
Something similar to sell other items would be good.

hmm I make about 10k or more an hour if I vendor everything so it isn't that bad of a plan.

They should implement somthing similar to the horizons vendor system. You could list up to X items at a vendor for whatever price and quantity, but you had to pay 10% of the list up front which kept people from listing items inappropriately. When someone bought something, the money was deposited in your account (in our case the vault). Main advantages are less lag in the system since players aren't standing around spamming channels, more killing time, simple setup so it won't take a bunch of coding, more space in the vault since items are kept at the vendor and removes gold from the system making money even more valuable.

Unfortunately this is one of the many reasons Guild War's economy is so poor in general. It's a pitty the economy is already dead and it hasn't even been out a month yet...

I find its best trading away from idiot filled holes like ascalon, and going to higher level places.
For instance, I asked around for some steel and someone said 500, hop over to Droknars and most people offered about 250.

Could that be because new players may value steel more at that level because it is harder to come by that early on in the game? And because by Droknar's most players have steel coming out their ears? No... say it ain't so...

Are you kidding? An auction house is not exactly a unique idea in general, not to mention the fact that WoW was not the first game to have them.

Yes, that and that a lot of people don't "last" 'till the higher places.
